Project Information
The 11 story expansion project of Phoenix Children's Hospital in the downtown Phoenix area was completed in 2011. The distinct tower project cost totaled over $350 million and increased the number of beds to over 400, eventually to over 600 upon full completion.
Phoenix National Laboratories supplied non-destructive testing and AWS-CWI structural steel visual weld inspection for this large project. Services included ultrasonic testing and visual inspection of welds and structural steel used on the project. Work was done at the steel fabricators shop and steel erection at the project site, PNL supplied 4-6 technicians from start up to completion of the project.
PNL performed all services on time and within budget requirements for this expansion project.
